Philidelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts suffered a finger injury in the team’s loss to the New York Giants on Sunday, which led to Philadelphia holding him out in the second half to get healthy for the playoffs. However, the damage was already done, as Hurts’ dislocated finger kept him from throwing all week.
Hurts revealed that he hadn’t thrown a football in between the Eagles’ game on Sunday and the team’s practice on Thursday. The quarterback admitted that he should’ve stayed out of the game after injuring his finger, instead of trying to gut it out initially.
With Philadelphia traveling to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, the Eagles practice on Thursday was their first of the week. Philadelphia officially listed Hurts as limited in practice with the finger injury.

The Eagles are banged up beyond just Hurts, as wide receiver A.J. Brown didn’t practice due to a knee injury. The extra day of rest should help the team heal up ahead of their wild card matchup in Tampa Bay, which will take place Monday night at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
