One of the big storylines heading into the Week 4 matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints was the rivalry that exists between Bucs’ wide receiver, Mike Evans, and Saints cornerback, Marshon Lattimore.
Although the first half has been a bit of a slog for both offenses, Mike Evans has still managed to get the better of his individual matchup with Marshon Lattimore so far.
At halftime, Evans has 3 receptions for 40 yards, while also drawing a crucial defensive pass interference penalty on the Saints’ brash cornerback.
However, with less than a minute to play in the first half, it was reported that Evans was questionable to return to the gamer with a hamstring injury.
Evans could be seen lying on his back on the Buccaneers’ sideline, trying to get it stretched out with the assistance of the Bucs’ training staff.
Evans has a history of hamstring injuries over the course of his career.
The Buccaneers currently hold a 14-3 lead on the road vs. the Saints at halftime. There’s no question that it will be much tougher for Tampa Bay to maintain that lead if they are going to be without the services of their best offensive player, Mike Evans.
