The former Louisville Cardinal football offensive lineman Mekhi Becton officially left the New York Jets and signed a 1-year deal with Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday, in a deal that was worth 5.5 million dollars.
Becton was dominant in his time at Louisville, and after spending his first 3 seasons with the Jets he decided to sign a low cost 1-year deal with Philly. Becton was initially picked 11th by the Jets in 2020, but after missing a lot of time in his first 2 seasons it was a wonder if Becton would ever get back to his old self.
However, in 2023 he played all 16 games in what was deemed a “comeback campaign” for Becton. As the the 6’7 offensive lineman looks to have an even better year in Philly during the 2024 season.
