Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been backed by Sean Dyche’s Everton to sign Amadou Onana.

This is according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who reported that Onana is open to a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.

So what is being reported about Arsenal target Amadou Onana?

Let’s take a look.

Everton midfielder Amadou Onana open to Arsenal move in January

Everton defensive midfielder Amadou Onana is open to a move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the January transfer window, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Jacobs suggested Everton did not want to sell Onana, insisting the Toffees would offer at least £50m for a £33m signing.

The reporter claimed that neither Manchester United nor Arsenal are in a position to pay such a fee, but Onana’s desire to move to the Emirates Stadium mid-season could improve the Gunners’ chances.
.
Football Transfers reported last week that Onana is a key target for United, but a deal is likely to be finalized in the summer of 2024.
The Daily Mail reported interest from Arsenal in the 22-year-old last month.
The Belgian defensive midfielder has previously been compared to Gunners legend Patrick Vieira.
