REPORT :Alex Crook shares Leeds United transfer update as new ‘guarantees’ emerge for David Brooks

Manager Alex Crook has confirmed Leeds United are interested in Bournemouth winger David Brooks, but the Welshman will not be allowed to leave the club until the end of the transfer window.
The 26-year-old returned to the south coast after battling cancer and has made 12 Premier League appearances for the Cherries so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

However, Brooks has attracted strong interest from the Championship, with several teams interested in taking him on loan, but talkSPORT’s chief football writer Crook said a move was “not a possibility”.

As quoted by Give Me Sport (January 10), he said: “Brooks is very interested in the Championship, as well as Leeds (as well as Southampton).
But , with Bournemouth losing Hamed Traore to malaria, he won’t be back anytime soon.
“Dango Ouattara is going to AFCON, so if they let her go, she’ll be on the edge of the frame.
Nothing is guaranteed.

Leeds United don’t need a complete shake-up this January, but Daniel Farke’s side will make some new moves in the second half of the season to reignite the team’s bid for an automatic promotion spot in the Championship.
could make some exciting additions.
Brooks could be just that type of addition, offering a combination of youth and experience that would make him an incredible asset in England’s second division.
He has played in the championship for most of his career and knows what it takes to break out of that division.

Not only would this move strengthen the Whites, it would also be a blow to Southampton if they were to lose the Welshman.
Considering how close both teams are in the championship, this could have a big impact later in the season.
If Crooks’ latest update is successful, Leeds will have to be patient in this game, but that doesn’t mean Falke’s side are completely running away.
