Charlie Taylor, a Burnley player, has been declared bankrupt because of unpaid debts. An administrative blunder resulted in the £30,000-per-week missing payments, which have now been returned.

Burnley defender Charlie Taylor has been declared bankrupt due to unpaid bills. The 30-year-old left-back, who earns around £30,000-a-week, was issued a bankruptcy order last year and is in the process of having it annulled. The debt has been settled and an application to the High Court for the bankruptcy to be annulled is close to being granted. Taylor is not the only current or former player to suffer bankruptcy due to administrative oversights or poor investments.
