Colorado close to signing two Americans

It is a little questionable why this is the highest transfer fee the Rapids have ever paid.
The previous record was the $2.
65 million they spent on Juan Ramirez in 2015 (and by God, that move was even worse than I thought, but that’s a story for another day).
Mihailovic shows a lot of potential, but I feel like he’s more of a player you’d hire on a max TAM contract at best.
He is currently the highest paid player at AZ Alkmaar at around $1 million per year, so the transfer fee is (probably) the only thing that makes him a DP.
It will be interesting to see the exact terms of this deal.
With some ingenuity, there seems to be a chance to lower the price enough to allow for a max TAM move and keep his DP slot open.
Failing that, Maxsø would need to be acquired in a TAM deal to free up a DP slot.
Finally, Bogart said that Rapids isn’t ready yet and he’s going to see what else is in the plan.
Today, it looks like the club will spend more than $3 million in transfer fees and likely between $2.
5 million and $3 million in personnel costs, which is a pretty unexpected move, but one in the right direction.
